Halcyon Haze is the ALL AGES SFW Free-to-Download BakuDeku Mini-Zine following the pair through different festival-type settings! Town-and-Country Fairs, renaissance festivals, shrine visits, carnivals, circuses—any fun summertime event you can think of! Want them to finally have that beach episode? Bring it! Give BakuDeku the fun summer romance you know they deserve!

This zine is just for fun in celebration of BakuDeku Day: August 9th!

As such, there are no check-ins, no applications, no rejections, no required proofreading processes. Only a few guidelines to follow and some regulations.

1. What is a Zine?
Zines are small-circulation fanmade magazines published by small groups of content creators. They can be either physical or digital, and sometimes include themed merchandise bundles for purchase.

2. When will the zine release?
Halcyon Haze will release August 9th at midnight and will be available for everyone to download.

3. Will there be a specific theme or can we do anything? (example: summer, underwater, monsters, ect.)
The specific theme is a summer festival! So if this is an underwater festival, or a festival of monsters, or whatever, so long as it's festival-based, it works!

4. What are A4's and A5's?
A4 and A5 refer to the sizes of paper/canvas! Typically, when creating a new canvas you'll see an option somewhere that probably says 'customize'. If you click it, you may find a drop-down of various numbers. Here, these numbers will be pre-made options for your canvas size. Otherwise, you're generally looking for:

3496 x 2480 px for a Double Page Spread (A4) (landscape facing)
1748 x 2480 px for a Single Page Spread (A5) (portrait facing)

Essentially, an A4 is twice the width of an A5!

5. Are collabs allowed?
Collaborations between contributors are more than welcome! On the final submission form, there will be a section provided for you to state who your collaboration partner for this project was!

6. Are there check-ins, deadlines, etc?
There are no check-ins, no required proofreading, no applications, no rejections. But there ARE deadlines!

If you wish for your fic to be proofread by myself or one of the zine volunteers, please get those to us by July 12th, 2021.

7. Are AU's allowed?
Yes. You may create using any AU, as long as your works follow the 3 main guidelines:

• BakuDeku
• Romantic, not platonic
• Festival-centered (festivals include beach/pier parties, circuses, county fairs, state fairs, shrine festivals, etc.)

8. Can I create more than one piece?
Yes. If you have the time, by all means, create away!

9. Can I create merch? If so, what type of merch can I make?
Yes. Anything you all decide to create for the zine will be added in a .zip folder for ease of access, so your digital merch will be simple to include.
